Libellulidae - Skimmer Dragonfly Family

Habitat: the immature form uses sediments in rocky pools of temporary streams
Behavior: Perches on rocks near breading habitat
RANGE: Reported from Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Doubtless in Mexico as well.
Male: The male's wings are more extensively black than the female's.
