PERENNIAL: The many weak stems radiate out to a distance of almost a meter and to a height half that.

FLOWERS: Silky white flowers about 25mm across occasionally tinged with lavender. Five stamens. Flowering in summer after summer rains. Pollinators are night-flying moths.

LEAVES: Leaves are elliptic to oval-shaped.

RANGE: In the Sonoran Desert of Arizona this plant occurs in the southern portions where summer rains are reliable. Upper edges of rocky washes and bajadas.

FRUIT: Small, dry, spherical capsules typically with two to four seeds and enclosed in a pair of bracts.
