Observed along West Fork of Sycamore Creek, Mazatzal Mts., Maricopa Co., Arizona, USA. 14 March 2015. Flowers may also be pink in color.

LEAVES: Upper leaves alternate and are linear to nearly triangular. Tips of leaves are pointed and margins smooth. node.

FLOWERS: Minute flowers are pale pink or white. There are 5 petals and 5 sepals. Superior ovary. Blooming mid spring.

ANNUAL: A small, diminutive plant often less than 10 cm tall.

RANGE: Rocky soil on slopes in canyons or hillsides.

FRUIT: A dry capsule that splits open from tip releasing numerous seeds.
