With the advent of affordable macrophotography equipment some of the most stunning insects in the canyons have been documented in vivid color. Hopefully these gems can be "poster organisms" to help the general public see the value of conservation for all the amazing species!

The female (below) is much differently marked than the male, as in most odonata.
